NWACC Digital Accessibility Statement

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible digital environment for all students, faculty, staff, and community members. In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, NWACC strives to ensure that our programs, services, and activities are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

 

We are actively working to make our websites, online courses, digital documents, videos, and other digital resources accessible and usable by all. This includes:

  • Public websites and student portals
  • Canvas course materials and online learning platforms
  • Multimedia content, including videos and recordings
  • Administrative forms and documents
  • Third-party platforms and vendor systems

Measures to support accessibility
NorthWest Arkansas Community College takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of www.nwacc.edu, brightwater.nwacc.edu, and my.nwacc.edu:

Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Our websites, www.nwacc.edu, brightwater.nwacc.edu, and my.nwacc.edu are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
